Fearne Cotton was raised by wolves you know. The man found her on the highway halfway between Desolation and Nowhere, all naked and shivering and blonde and wild-eyed. Say she was 13 years old or thereabouts, but she sure looked older out on that highway. The man, so the story goes, took it upon hisself to provide an education to the child. Taught her to speak and to eat and to take fright when the Minister told her what the Devil was planning for. Say he taught her well too; that she started losing that wolf-think pretty quick, started behaving like a regular teen-ager.

Couple years later word went out that the man and the girl were to be married. They never made it to the church though. Disappeared into the night a couple days before the wedding. Say she might not have gotten rid of all of the wolf in her. Say she was still wild. Say she could have struck him, took him back along the highway between Desolation and Nowhere.
